I missed a client call because I was trying to fix an automation in n8n that was sending the same email to Marcus three times.

By the time I caught it, Marcus had received the email — titled 'Monthly Operational Check-In,' addressed to a fictional client — four times. He came to my desk and asked if something was 'looping.' I said I was running a stress test. He said: 'Good initiative.' He is impervious to red flags. It is both his greatest flaw and his most useful quality.

I hid in the breakroom for twenty minutes and fixed it on my phone. I am currently failing at being an employee and failing at being a solopreneur simultaneously. The technical term for this is, I believe, Tuesday.

Anja asked how the day went. I said 'fine.' She looked at me in the way that means: I know it wasn't fine, but fine is what we're doing tonight, and I respect that decision.
