May 21/One Visitor. Font. Seniors.

I have had exactly one visitor to my website: my mother. She called to report that the font is 'a bit small for reading.'

The website went properly live. I announced it. I sent the link to Klaus. I told Thorsten Kahl's newsletter in my head as a kind of imaginary press release.

I have had exactly one visitor: my mother. She called to report that the font is 'a bit small for reading,' delivered with the authority of someone offering a clinical opinion.

I am currently considering a total rebrand based on my mother's ophthalmological assessment. Part of me thinks: she's the only person who actually looked at it. She is, technically, my market research.

I told Anja. She said: 'Maybe the font is a bit small.' I stared at her. She shrugged. 'I also couldn't read the contact page on my phone.' I have increased the font by two points. The website now works for people over fifty. I am calling this my senior growth strategy.

Thorsten Kahl hit 4,500 subscribers this week. He thanked his readers for their trust and curiosity. I thanked my mother for her eyesight feedback. We are both building something.

The notebook

The first person who actually looked at what I'd made said They were not wrong.
